Special Thanx

Tim McCarron

Tim has worked closely with me on improving the interface and automating the game. His knowledge on how the Vassal engine works and how to manipulate it has become invaluble. Special thanx to Tim for jumping on board and helping to turn this into an actual computer game ...instead of just a board game made for the computer.

Softbug

Softbug happen to pay attention to what I was doing very early on. He suggested some graphics tools, pointed me towards some graphic arts databases, and provided several design ideas and graphics work. He also provided me with a development forum. Without his assistance, the game would never have looked as good as it does. His contributions to the game including graphics, design and or concepts for the following:

     Graphics work in the Catacombs
     Card template
     Gold Piece design
     Special Ability Discs
     Guide Book card design
     Spell cards
     Army and Officer units
     Graphics for several Palace Rooms
...and the "To Be King" logo seen on the front page and the top of all the TBK web pages

My hats off to you, Softbug. I couldn't have done it without you. (cheers ...clink!)

Alex "ffff"

The only person who would spend hours playtesting the game with me. Those sessions resulted in the game being completely re-designed to feature a much improved interface ...but still miles away from where it needs to be. Before those play testing sessions, I had no idea how difficult it was to get around in the game. Thank you for you help ...it's greatly appreciated.

Dundjinni Art Community

My thanx goes to the Dundjinni art community whose massive, royalty free database of graphics (link to graphic packages since removed) make up over 75% of the visuals in the game. Working with all these little pieces of art, and what I could do with them, has been pure joy.    ...and the game would certainly look bland and empty without them. I would encourage map designers to check out the Dundjinni forums.

Vassal Game Engine Organization

...and last, but not least, my eternal gratitude goes to the Vassal Game Engine Organization without whose engine this would not have been possible ...or necessary. (grin) Their tireless support and awesome engine has changed my world and made me feel like a real game designer again. ...and the engine is free ...WOW!
